Domestic Short Hair - Soda Pop - Medium - Adult - Male - Cat
Male/DSH/Orange Tabby. DOB: 12/11/11. Neutered/House-Trained/Up-to-Date on Vaccinations. Gets along with kids and other cats. This is one Soda Pop Mayor Bloomberg probably would have banned as he is loaded with sweetness! He is an awesome-looking boy with an awesome purrsonality. Born around 12/11/11, Sodapop was apparently discarded by his family and shown to the streets to survive. He was discovered by a kind person who saw his loveable qualities and just knew he would make a great house kitty and companion for some lucky family. He loves sitting in laps receiving chin and head scratching. You will know how pleased he is by this attention as his sweet motor soon revs up. He does have a curious side and enjoys checking out his surroundings hoping he might find a treat or two along the way. Sodapop has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), a disease that suppresses his immune system. But he is a perfectly healthy cat (as you can see), with no signs of being slowed down by FIV! Most cats with FIV live long, healthy lives with no symptoms at all. The disease is not spread through casual contact -- like the sharing of litter boxes, water and food bowls, or through snuggling and playing with other cats. FIV is almost exclusively spread through deep penetrating bite wounds, and a neutered/spayed FIV+ cat is extremely unlikely to infect other cats if properly introduced. For more information about FIV, visit http://www.bestfriends.org/theanimals/petcare/cats_fiv.cfm. Sodapop is a terrific orange tabby who deserves a happy long, life with a wonderful family.
